This one label hack will change how you look at protein… forever.

If you’ve been grabbing anything labeled “high protein” thinking you’re hitting your goals—
we need to talk.

Especially if you’re on a GLP-1.

Because when your appetite is lower…
every bite actually matters *more*.

And if you’re not prioritizing true protein sources?
You’re not just under-eating…

you’re risking muscle loss, slower metabolism, and that “skinny but soft” look no one wants.

Here’s the simplest hack I use with patients:

→ Look at grams of protein
→ Add a zero (multiply by 10)
→ Compare that to calories

If calories are at or below that number = solid protein source
If calories are way above it = not really a protein food

Let’s break it down:

✔️ Greek yogurt (17g protein / 90 cal) → 170 vs 90 = great
✔️ Fairlife milk (13g protein / 80 cal) → 130 vs 80 = great
✔️ Chicken (28g protein / 140 cal) → 280 vs 140 = elite

Now the ones that fool people:

❌ Protein bar (10g / 210 cal) → 100 vs 210 = candy bar with a label
❌ Peanut butter (7g / 190 cal) → fat source, not protein
❌ Cheese sticks (6g / 80 cal) → borderline
❌ Almonds (6g / 170 cal) → snack, not protein

And listen—this matters for everyone.

But if you’re on a GLP-1 and eating less overall?

It matters *even more.*

Because you don’t have room to waste calories on foods that *pretend* to be protein.

You need foods that actually help you:
→ maintain muscle
→ support your metabolism
→ keep your body strong while you’re losing weight

Once you see it… you can’t unsee it.

And your grocery cart will never look the same.

28 people showed up to our home…

and in just 3 hours, they built something so much bigger than a playground.

Because this wasn’t just about a swing set.

It was about showing up for a family in a season we never saw coming.

When our son was diagnosed with a brain tumor,
we had no idea how much our world would change…

or how much *goodness* we would witness in people.

This weekend was one of those moments.

The Roc Solid Foundation and a team of Amazon volunteers came together to build this for Christian—
and even asked our oldest son to help.

Watching him work alongside them,
helping build something for his little brother…

is something I’ll never forget.

Then getting to surprise Christian with it—
seeing his joy, his excitement, just getting to be a kid—

that meant everything.

In the middle of something so hard,
we’ve been surrounded by so much light.

And this… is a reminder that even here,
there is still so much good.

We are beyond grateful.

Thank you to and every single volunteer who showed up for our family.

You gave our boys more than a playground—you gave them a memory, a moment, and something to smile about in the middle of it all. 🤍
