🚨 ARISE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 🚨

This week we’re highlighting Charlotte Narti.

Charlotte does a great job balancing tournaments and training. When she’s not on the court, she’s putting in the work in the gym. 💪🏼

Keep it up, Charlotte!

Strap Wrap Reverse Lunge

For the initial setup, the side that the strap is coming from that leg stays forward for the lunge portion. You are actively resisting the pull of the strap to keep your upper body closed and in control.

Another way to progress this exercise is by adding a rotation toward the front leg, increasing the demand on control and coordination.

This exercise challenges hip stability, torso rotational stability, and scapular stability all at once. It’s a great way to build lower body strength while demanding your upper body stays locked in and stable throughout the movement.

Half Kneeling Cable Chop

The half kneeling cable chop is great for rotational athletes. Focusing on training your core to remain engaged during rotation. While developing separation in your lower and upper half of the body, which is a huge part of power production in rotational sports.

Did you know? 👀

You use 20–60% more force in the eccentric portion of your exercise ?
That’s exactly why we coach slow, controlled eccentrics to build strength, improve control, and reduce injury risk.

Technique Tuesday ⚡️:
Split Stance Palloff Press with a drop is a deceleration and anti-rotation exercise. We're focusing on creating tension, resisting rotation, and controlling that drop, not letting it control you. This exercise is great for rotational sports, the ability to decelerate is what allows you to transfer and maximize power efficiently.

Reduce your chances of hamstring injuries this season.

Add the Nordic Hamstring exercise to your routine. It’s one of the most effective ways to build strength and reduce the risk of strain injuries, especially for athletes in sports like hockey and soccer.

The progression:

Band-assisted Nordic
Partial range Nordic (use a box)

Power is built, not given.

At ARISE, athletes train to generate force through proper mechanics and coordinated movement patterns.

In this session, Sebastian works through a series of power development exercises with Coach Beau:

1️⃣ Partner Granny Throw
2️⃣ Rotational Partner Throw
3️⃣ Shot Put Throw
4️⃣ Medicine Ball Slam

Each movement is designed to reinforce triple extension and translate directly into sport-specific performance.
