For Donna, watching her son Stephen grow has been a journey filled with gratitude and change. Through his time in our Adult Day Training program, she’s seen him become more confident, more engaged, and excited to be part of a community where he truly belongs.

Through his work in both the retail shop and pro shop, Emmett stays engaged in tasks like organizing shirts by color and size, and sorting golf bracelets. By following a structured schedule, he is building focus, confidence, and a strong sense of accomplishment each day.

Our clients are supported with individualized plans and hands-on experiences that help them build skills for everyday life.

Everyday moments, both big and small, help shape confidence, independence, and purpose within our Adult Services department. 💙 Today, we’re excited to spotlight Brooke Teta, our Adult Day Training (ADT) Program Manager.

“Building connections with clients and watching their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of this work,” Brooke shares. “Everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves, make choices, and feel a sense of purpose in their day.”

“Volunteering at Els for Autism has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From the moment I walk through the Big Easy Cafe and Adult Services Building, I’m greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by both staff and clients,” Patricia shares.

Through our Adult Services and programs like Sea of Possibilities, Patricia works alongside participants as they create beautiful, ocean-inspired artwork, helping foster creativity, confidence, and connection. These moments go beyond art; they open doors to purpose, independence, and community inclusion.

Volunteers like Patricia play a vital role in making these experiences possible, and we are so grateful for the passion, kindness, and dedication they bring each day.
