A mechanical flexion block doesn’t just limit motion, it alters motor strategy.

When the nervous system senses it can’t clear swing comfortably, it finds another way:
hip hike, circumduction, trunk lean.

Backward walking changes the demand profile.

It reduces required knee flexion during swing, shifts loading posteriorly, and increases time under quad control without aggressive anterior shear.

That gives us space to retrain rhythm before layering speed.

Restore sequencing first.
Then restore symmetry.
Then restore performance.

PEACE & LOVE is the modern, evidence-based approach to injury recovery.

Instead of chasing pain relief alone, it respects how tissues actually heal.

PEACE (early phase):
