Smiles were restored. Pain was relieved. Hope was renewed.

At our 2025 Dental Day of Caring, more than 270 volunteers and 12 community partners came together to provide $130,000 in free dental care, serving 258 patients who had been living in pain without affordable options.

Patients received X-rays, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and dental supplies, and most importantly, were welcomed as new patients, affirming their right to ongoing, respectful care. Since 2019, this incredible event has delivered more than $500,000 in free services to our community.

In 2025, Family Health Center continued expanding access to care across Kalamazoo County through three clinic locations, two mobile units, evening and weekend hours, and transportation assistance.

We serve infants, children, elders, veterans, and working families, without regard to gender identity, housing status, employment, race, age, disability, or ethnicity.

This kind of presence doesn’t just improve individual health; it strengthens our entire community and helps prevent unnecessary emergency room visits. That’s an impact you can feel.

Each summer, our parking lot transforms into something magical.

The 2025 Back to School Bash brought families together for rides, music, food, face painting, a petting zoo, and critical health services to help students start the school year strong. Every child received a free backpack filled with school supplies and personal care essentials.

This year, 300 youth also received dental sealants through our Mobile Dental Unit, while nearly 50 partners and vendors connected families with valuable community resources.
Because when children are healthy and prepared, they thrive.

Family Health Center (FHC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the citizens of Kalamazoo County. FHC provides quality health care to some 36,000 historically underserved patients, ensuring that all people who enter our facilities are treated with dignity, respect and a welcoming spirit. FHC opened in 1971 to address the unmet medical needs of low-income and minority populations in Kalamazoo County. From a temporary space in a converted trailer, FHC has grown to five high-quality health care facilities with state-of-the-art services, plus mobile health and dental clinics, all serving our community.
