Yesterday, we celebrated our amazing Office Manager Magi for Administrative Professionals Day!

Magi joined us this past February and has already made such a meaningful impact on our community. She has taken her role in the front office and ran with it! She has been an incredible addition to the Vineyard Team!

Since April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for each and every one of our amazing volunteers! They give so generously of their time and talents to bring joy and support to our wonderful residents. Whether it’s playing the piano, calling bingo, hosting crafts, doing communion, or bringing in therapy dogs for visits, every act of kindness makes a meaningful difference. We are so thankful for all that they do; our volunteers truly are the best! Thank you all!

🎉 Don’t miss the 2026 Bits of Business Expo on Friday, April 24, from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Portage Zhang Senior Center, 203 East Centre Avenue. It’s FREE and open to the public, and welcomes older adults, their families, and caregivers.

This year, find over 70 vendors. Special thanks to our Event Sponsor, Comfort Keepers. Additional sponsors include Senior Living Advocates, Area Agency on Aging 3A, and Caring Companions Kalamazoo.

✨NEW THIS YEAR! ✨ The Veterans and Seniors Support Suite offers on-site one-on-one options, counseling, and resources for those seeking support, as well as their caregivers. Special thanks to the sponsor, the Area Agency on Aging 3A.

The Kalamazoo County Area Agency on Aging 3A, Kalamazoo County Veteran Services Office, and the Battle Creek VA Medical Center will have staff on-site who can sit down with individuals and answer their questions. Walk-ins are welcome, or call (269) 329-4555 to make an appointment.

Lena just hit an incredible 5 years with Vineyard, and her impact in our community and the senior care industry has been spectacular. She plays an integral role in our daily operations, always ensuring residents and families have what they need to acclimate and thrive at Vineyard!

Lena has a huge heart and her support for both families and residents is incredible. She builds meaningful connections and represents Vineyard with compassion, professionalism, and care.

As we look ahead, we are especially excited for the future, knowing Lena will play a key role in the growth of our Memory Care Community. Her dedication and passion will continue to shape the experience for so many families and residents to come.

Please help us celebrate Jorjah (right) as our April Employee of the Month!

Jorjah does an absolutely amazing job keeping our community clean, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. She takes cleaning and sprucing up initiatives each and every day!

Kicking off Spring, Jorjah is the perfect person to kick off the season. She brings fresh energy, positivity, and is a bright light for our community! Her laughter is contagious! Our hope is that everyone gets a chance to meet Jorjah if you haven’t already.
