If you have ever wondered why so many people living with disease reach for their sunglasses indoors, there is actually science behind it. 🕶️💜

Light sensitivity affects up to 80% of people living with migraine disease and can happen both during and between attacks. For some, specific wavelengths of light, especially blue and fluorescent light, can even trigger a migraine attack.

That is where migraine glasses come in. The most common type uses an FL-41 tint, a rosy pink lens designed to filter those triggering wavelengths and ease photophobia (light sensitivity).

They will not prevent every attack, but for many people living with migraine disease, they can make daily life more manageable.

Want to learn more about how they work, what to look for, and whether they might help you? We linked the full guide from our partners at the Association of Migraine Disorders below.

If you have ever thought your neck pain was causing your attack, you might be right! But it could also be the other way around. 💜

According to neurologist Dr. Richard Lipton, neck pain is one of the most common features associated with migraine disease, and it can show up in multiple ways. For some people, it is actually a prodrome symptom, meaning it is a warning sign that a migraine attack is on the way. For others, an underlying neck issue can lower the threshold for attacks and make them more frequent or more severe.

And here is the part that really matters: knowing which one it is can actually change how you treat it. If neck pain consistently shows up before your attacks, that pattern could be a signal to treat early and potentially stop the attack before it fully starts.

Dr. Lipton breaks down all of this and more in our Spotlight on Migraine podcast, "Migraine and Neck Pain: A Symptom or a Cause?"

Living with a vestibular disorder often means managing symptoms that aren’t visible to others.

Comments like these are usually well-intended, but they can feel dismissive, frustrating, or isolating. Dizziness, imbalance, and sensory symptoms are real, even when they can’t be seen.

If this resonates, you’re not alone. And if you’re supporting someone with a vestibular disorder, listening without minimizing can make a meaningful difference. 💙

Ever roll over in bed and feel the room spin. 😵‍💫
That sudden sensation is often linked to Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), a common vestibular condition caused by tiny calcium crystals shifting inside the inner ear.

In The Great Balancing Act: An Insider’s Guide to the Human Vestibular System, Dr. Jeffrey Sharon explains how these small crystal movements can create powerful sensations of vertigo and why BPPV can feel so alarming even though it is often highly treatable. This excerpt helps make sense of a symptom many people experience but do not fully understand.
