Every event, resource, and gathering we provide is currently self-funded and supported by the community.

This month, we honor the strength, resilience, and brilliance of individuals living with developmental disabilities. We celebrate their voices, their uniqueness, and the incredible light they bring into our world every single day.

At D&D Journey – Children With Disabilities Matter, this month is more than awareness it is personal. It is our mission. It is our heart.
Founded in 2022, D&D Journey was created to support, educate, and empower children and young adults with autism and special needs, along with their families. We believe in inclusion. We believe in acceptance. We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, safe, and celebrated.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month reminds us that: ✨ Different does not mean less

✨ Inclusion creates stronger communities
✨ Advocacy changes lives
✨ Every child matters

Through our programs — Parent-to-Parent Support, IEP Navigation, Monthly Resources, Autism ID Cards, and community events — we continue to stand in the gap for families who deserve support, understanding, and opportunity.

✨💙 Mom’Atism 2nd Annual Kalamazoo Walk for Autism Inclusion Celebration! 💛✨

We are BACK and bigger for Year TWO! 🙌🏾

Join us on April 25th, 2026 in Downtown Kalamazoo, MI for our 2nd Annual Walk for Autism Inclusion Celebration — a day dedicated to awareness, acceptance, and community.

Mom’Atism was created to support, empower, and advocate for autism families — and this walk is more than just a walk. It’s a movement. 💙

🌟 We are walking to:
✔️ Promote autism awareness and acceptance
✔️ Create inclusive spaces where every child belongs
✔️ Connect families to resources and support
✔️ Celebrate the unique strengths of individuals with autism

This will be a FAMILY-FRIENDLY celebration with:

🎶 Music & entertainment

🤝 Community connection

Mom’Atism Autism Moms Night Out was a SUCCESS 😊

My heart is so full. Seeing these amazing moms show up, laugh, relax, and just enjoy themselves reminded me exactly why Mom’Atism was created.

So many of us carry so much every single day. This night was about putting that weight down, even if only for a few hours, and being surrounded by women who truly understand.

Thank you to every mom who came. Thank you for trusting Mom’Atism. Thank you for believing in this vision.

This is only the beginning ❤️
