Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established to support the charitable needs of residents.

The Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization established in 2003 to support the charitable needs of Heritage Community of Kalamazoo (HCK) and the Michigan Nursing Home resident who live here. HCK has been raising funds to help support residents and improve the living conditions of older people since the organization was founded in 1945. Back then, it was known as the Senior Citizens Fund. The name has changed but the commitment to providing care for people of all incomes is greater than ever. It was community support which allowed us to build the area’s first senior residences. The Heritage Community of Kalamazoo Foundation benefits the following communities: Wyndham, Heritage Hills Apartments, Directors Hall, Wyndham West, Amber Way, Amber Place, and Harold and Grace Upjohn Community Care Center. The Foundation accepts gift of cash, appreciated stock, securities, as well as planned gifts including bequests and estate gifts. ✨ What a Night! ✨

Our Midnight in Morocco Gala was nothing short of magical! From the vibrant décor and joyful energy to the heartfelt generosity that filled the room, the evening truly captured the spirit of community that defines Heritage Community of Kalamazoo.

Together, we raised 26% more than last year in support of The Heritage Promise Fund, which ensures that residents who outlive their financial resources can continue to call Heritage home.

“The generosity we witnessed at the Gala reflects the heart of Heritage, a community that shows up for one another,” said Aaron Bradford, Foundation Director. “Every gift to The Heritage Promise Fund helps ensure that residents can continue living with comfort, dignity, and peace of mind, no matter what life brings.”
