It's not even about getting bulky👇🏼 (open here)

As a mom who has spent the last 3 years actually learning how to take care of my health & well-being, I’m becoming a firm believer in that phrase that strength is self-care.

Muscle is medicine and you can start building strength without weights if you're new.

Strength:
- protects you and enables you to take care of yourself and your kids
- helps you have healthy pregnancies and births
- boosts your metabolism and supports your hormones
- gives you self-confidence and higher self esteem
- strengthens your bones and tendons
- benefits mental and cognitive health
- allows you to be able to take care of yourself when you become an old person, who can pick themselves up when they fall, wipe their own butts, and play with their grandkids without pain.

💪 1. Increasing Your Max
When you can lift heavier weights over time, it’s a clear sign your strength is improving! This can boost confidence and is a great motivator. It's not just about the gym – that extra strength comes in handy for all the heavy lifting life throws at us.

🎯 2. Lifting Heavier Day-to-Day
Feeling stronger in your daily workouts? Being able to consistently lift more weight, even outside of a PR, means you’re getting stronger! As women, it’s empowering to know we’re building strength that helps us tackle everything from groceries, furniture, pickle jars, & kids.

🛒 3. Picking Up Kids & Items with Ease
Is carrying your toddler or those heavy grocery bags isn’t as exhausting as it used to be? Functional strength makes life easier and allows us to keep up with our busy lives.

⚡ 4. Increasing Your Activity Level
If you find yourself with more energy for everyday tasks or playing with your kids, your body is becoming more efficient and stronger. The stronger we are, the more we can do!

Collagen is great for your skin, hair, and joints—but it doesn’t count toward your daily protein goal.

Collagen lacks certain essential amino acids, like tryptophan, which means it can’t support muscle repair or growth the way complete proteins do.

Think of collagen as a supplement for recovery and overall health, not a replacement for chicken, beef, eggs, dairy, or whey.

This leads to reduced hunger and helps with portion control.

Now before you come at me with all the negative comments saying it's cheating, people need more discipline, or it's the government's way of poisoning you...

Anytime someone makes a step towards bettering their health, I applaud them.

Even if it’s a route that I don’t agree with, such as:
- weightloss drugs
- MLM supplements scams
- drastic calorie diets like Optavia
- fad diets like carnivore or vegan
- detoxes, resets, and cleanses
- endless cardio

Yes, people need to be intentional about what they put in their mouth.

Yes, people need to exercise more and increase calorie expenditure.

Yes, our healthcare system is likely rigged to keep you spending money with them.

But it's a good thing you have full control over what you put in your mouth, how you spend your money, and what you do with your time.

A client asked "how long did it take you to look like that?" Here's my journey 👉🏼👉🏼

I was never really into fitness.
I was an athlete in high school and working out meant running on the treadmill as an adult.

After having 2 babies within 2 years, I decided I didn't want to be a chubby mom (because that's the genetics that run in my family).

I decided to do a Spartan race as a goal to set.
Worked with a coach online who gave me a meal plan and a gym routine.

Not long afterwards, the only reason I was going to the gym was to manage my postpartum depression and OCD. It was the only holistic route I found that actually helped me.

After my Spartan race I continued that same gym and nutrition routine long afterwards, eventually doing things on my own in the fall of 2023.

2024 was when I realized I was actually making visible progress and had muscle definition which was wild.

I joined a gym community and started doing strength and conditioning classes in 2024 at the . Surrounded myself with trainers and got hands on experience with personal training myself.

After witnessing a mock powerlifting meet and heavy pressure from fellow gym buddies, I decided I'd try Powerlifting for fun.... Then got addicted to pushing my body to the limits with strength training.

Did 2 meets back to back and had a blast... And I'm still doing it 💪

But the point of this was I started my journey to be healthy - not to get muscle gains. Then I fell in love with the mental health benefits, the fitness community, and competing as an athlete.

Fall in love with the process. Focus on progress.
Set different goals outside of the scale.
That's how you make health a lifestyle, not a chore.
