Your habits and nutrition quality are key.

The Bottom Line:

If you're not seeing results, focus on these areas in order of importance:

1. Adherence—stay consistent.

2. Calories—get into the right deficit or surplus for your goals.

3. Protein—hit that target daily.

4. Exercise—be sure your program is aligned with your goal.

5. Carb & Fats—adjust for energy levels and recovery.

6. Nutrient Timing—optimize performance.

7. Supplements—only once everything else is dialed in.

By regularly reassessing and tweaking these aspects of your nutrition and fitness, you’ll avoid frustration, break through plateaus, and move closer to your goals. A coach can help you do this.

Health is a long term game.

Remember - It took you X amount of years doing whatever you were doing to reach this point to where you realized you needed to change something to improve your health.

Expect to take that same amount of years doing healthy habits to get to where you want to be.

A client asked "how long did it take you to look like that?" Here's my journey 👉🏼👉🏼

I was never really into fitness.
I was an athlete in high school and working out meant running on the treadmill as an adult.

After having 2 babies within 2 years, I decided I didn't want to be a chubby mom (because that's the genetics that run in my family).

I decided to do a Spartan race as a goal to set.
Worked with a coach online who gave me a meal plan and a gym routine.

Not long afterwards, the only reason I was going to the gym was to manage my postpartum depression and OCD. It was the only holistic route I found that actually helped me.

After my Spartan race I continued that same gym and nutrition routine long afterwards, eventually doing things on my own in the fall of 2023.

2024 was when I realized I was actually making visible progress and had muscle definition which was wild.

I joined a gym community and started doing strength and conditioning classes in 2024 at the . Surrounded myself with trainers and got hands on experience with personal training myself.

After witnessing a mock powerlifting meet and heavy pressure from fellow gym buddies, I decided I'd try Powerlifting for fun.... Then got addicted to pushing my body to the limits with strength training.

Did 2 meets back to back and had a blast... And I'm still doing it 💪

But the point of this was I started my journey to be healthy - not to get muscle gains. Then I fell in love with the mental health benefits, the fitness community, and competing as an athlete.

Fall in love with the process. Focus on progress.
Set different goals outside of the scale.
That's how you make health a lifestyle, not a chore.

1) Drink half your bodyweight in oz of water each day.
2) Walk for 30 minutes daily.
3) Add more vegetables to every meal.
4) Get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
5) Take 10 minutes a day to read your Bible and pray.
6) Swap sugary drinks for herbal tea or infused water.
7) Eat a protein-rich breakfast to fuel your day.
8) Reduce screen time before bed for better sleep quality.
9) Practice mindful eating – savor each bite without distractions.
10) Include 30-60 minutes of strength exercises, like bodyweight movements or using weights.
