Big Sky IV Care offers I.V. therapy choices in your home or in our infusion suites, depending on the medication and treatment plan. Working with your hospital team and/or physician, the staff of Big Sky will tailor your treatment to ensure you can receive your medications on time while allowing you the freedom to be at home or schedule your infusions as needed.
Most patients have a few important concerns when they need I.V. therapy: 1) Will it be done safely?; 2) Does the staff know what they are doing?; 3) Will it be cost-effective?
At Big Sky I.V. Care, your SAFETY is our primary concern. From referral to initial medication administration, we make sure we have all the information necessary to make your therapy safe and successful. Each therapy is based on an order from, and communication with, your doctor. Although many patients do their I.V. therapy at home, our pharmacists and nurses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions or concerns. We also use the most current I.V. pumps and devices available for your convenience and safety.
The staff at Big Sky IV Care is well-trained, professional and has many years of experience. Most of all, our STAFF CARES about you. You will meet and talk to pharmacists, registered nurses, pharmacy technicians and billing professionals who will oversee your therapy and respond to your needs and questions. Since our staff is all together in the same Kalispell office, communication is usually quick and easy. Opened in 2005, Big Sky I.V. I.V. therapy at home or in our infusion suites is the LEAST EXPENSIVE way to receive infusion medications. While most therapies are not cheap, Big Sky IV Care offers the most cost-effective option and accepts most insurance plans, Montana Medicaid, VA and private pay. We also take Medicare for the few therapies that are covered. Our staff will clear your benefits and authorize all medications and services prior to starting your therapy.
Big Sky IV Care provides a variety of I.V. medication therapies when ordered by your physician: antibiotics, Solu-Medrol (steroids), hydration and additives, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), pain management, IVIG and many of the “specialty drugs” used to treat chronic diseases like Crohn’s (Remicade, Entyvio), Rheumatoid Arthritis (Remicade, Simponi Aria, Actemra, Orencia), Mulitple Sclerosis (Lemtrada, Tysabri, Ocrevus), Lupus (Benlysta), and hemophilia (factor products), among many others.

(Note: Medicare coverage for I.V. medications at home or in a pharmacy based clinic/office is limited to a very few, specific therapies. Medicare patients must often receive their outpatient therapies at the hospital or go to a skilled nursing facility.
