When the power goes out, the needs of the individuals we serve don’t stop.

Many of our residents rely on consistent electricity for medical equipment, temperature regulation, accessibility features, and overall safety. Power outages — especially during Montana winters — can quickly become dangerous.

Installing Generac backup generators in each residential home ensures uninterrupted power during emergencies. Our goal is to begin with five homes and continue until all facilities are equipped with reliable standby power.
This is a significant but critical investment in safety, stability, and peace of mind.

Providing housing means more than opening the front door — it means maintaining safe, quality homes year after year.

With 22 residential facilities, capital improvements are constant and necessary. Roofs last roughly 20 years, which means we replace at least one every year. Homes need fresh paint about every 10 years — requiring us to repaint two houses annually to preserve and protect them.

Recent examples include:
• painting our 6th & 7th Avenue homes
• Renovations at Koenig House to make it safe and livable

Add in driveways, siding, structural repairs, and general upkeep — and the costs add up quickly.

These investments ensure the individuals we serve have homes that are not only accessible, but safe, dignified, and built to last.

Right now in Montana, nearly 1,500 individuals are waiting for state funding for essential disability services — with wait times ranging from 3 to 8 years.

Bridge the Gap was created so individuals don’t have to put their goals on hold.

This program provides funding for a full year of participation in our vocational services or day programs while individuals wait for state support. Instead of losing progress, they continue building job skills, gaining independence, and staying connected to their community.

Our Alternative Day Program offers a safe, engaging, community-based environment — giving families the ability to work, care for other responsibilities, and find stability while their loved one receives meaningful support.

Just $100 covers one full day of services for one person.

Your Gala support helps close the gap between waiting and opportunity — because progress shouldn’t have to pause for funding.
