Not everything has to be complicated…but some things are worth being intentional about. These are a few of the foundational things I come back to again and again: as a pediatric chiropractor and a mom.

*Car seats are for the car. They’re incredible for safety, but outside of that, too much time in them can limit your baby’s ability to move, explore, and develop naturally. When you can, wear your baby or transfer them out once you’re home. It makes a bigger difference than you think.

*Floor time matters more than we realize. That’s where the magic happens…rolling, reaching, pushing up, discovering their body and the world around them. Swings and bouncers have their place, but free movement is what truly supports healthy development.

*And this one is big…your nervous system and your baby’s are deeply connected. A regulated, supported mom helps create a regulated, supported baby. Taking care of yourself isn’t extra, it’s essential.

This isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about awareness, small shifts, and supporting both you and your baby in a way that feels sustainable and aligned.
