🚫We don’t rinse after brushing. 👉🏽 Leaving the fluoride on your teeth gives it time to strengthen enamel instead of washing off in two seconds.

🧀 We prefer fancy cheese or dark chocolate for dessert. 👉🏽 Both cut the acid surge after eating without coating your teeth in sticky sugar that feeds bacteria.

👜 We’re always packin’… our water bottles. 👉🏽 A quick drink of water after snacks or sweets clears sugar and drops acidity before bacteria can turn it into trouble.

🍬We recommend chewing gum 5x a day. 👉🏽 But only if it has xylitol! Xylitol stops the cavity-making bacteria and boosts saliva, your built in cleaning system.

😷 We sleep with mouth tape. 👉🏽 Mouth breathing gives you dry mouth and dry mouth means extra bacteria. Nasal breathing means a moist mouth and less acidic environment (not to mention better sleep).

We are so weird. But not really. These are great habits!

Help us wish a very Happy Birthday to Dr. Anthony!! 🎈

Even though we already celebrated last week with Dr. Harris’s legendary fruit pizza, we will never miss a chance to brag on Dr. A…

💜 She’s the only dentist who can have you feeling completely relaxed while she’s holding pointy objects near your face.

💜 She has patients who’ve been with her longer than their marriages lasted. That’s a real testament to her skill and how much people love her. 😆

💜 She keeps this place running smoother than a freshly polished molar and has a bedside manner that could charm a grizzly straight out of a bad mood.

💜 The practice she leads isn’t just good. It’s the gold standard, not only in skill but in genuine care.

Here’s to the woman who makes dentistry look effortless and keeps the whole team smiling for real, not just because we work in a dental office. 👏🏽

Happy birthday, Dr. Anthony. We are so lucky to work with the world’s best boss.

Happy Birthday to Dr. Harris! 🎈

Some people join a team and take a while to find their stride. Dr. Harris walked in and immediately felt like he belonged here. He brings that steady, trustworthy presence Montana folks recognize instantly, and patients pick up on it right away.

Dr. Harris is over-the-moon to be back home in Montana, raising his family in the place he loves most. Between a brand-new baby girl, an energetic four-year-old, his wife Morgan, and an extended family that gathers often, his world is full in all the best ways. 💜

What we appreciate most is how deeply he cares for people. He treats every patient and every team member with the same calm, nurturing attention. That’s exactly the heartbeat of this practice, and why he fits here so naturally.

Here’s to Dr. Harris on his birthday! We’re lucky he’s in our community and even more grateful that he’s on our team at Dr. Anthony’s office. 🎂

To***co-free doesn’t mean risk-free. Get the facts.

☠️ Ni****ne pouches, dip, snus, chew (and yes, vapes and e-cigarettes) all deliver the same addictive chemical directly to your mouth.

Here’s what happens:
🚬 Ni****ne restricts blood flow, starving your gums and slowing healing.
🚬 V**e aerosols and pouch chemicals irritate and inflame the delicate lining of your mouth.
🚬 Long-term use can lead to precancerous patches, gum recession, and oral cancer.

What to watch for:
⚠️ White or red spots that don’t heal
⚠️ Thickened or sore areas inside your cheek or lip
⚠️ Persistent mouth pain or irritation

Better choices:
👍 Don’t fall for “clean nicotine” marketing — it’s just addiction in a new wrapper.
👍 If you’re quitting to***co, use doctor-approved aids like gum or patches — short-term, not lifestyle.
👍 Keep regular dental exams; we screen for early changes at every visit.

November is National Oral Cancer Awareness Month
We’re shining a spotlight on what you need to know.

⚠️These two habits significantly increase your risk of mouth cancer: to***co and alcohol use.

🧠 Here is why: To***co and alcohol don’t just stain your teeth; they change your cells. Crazy!

😱 And if you do both? Well, you double-down on the risk, too.

📝 The issue: Both to***co and alcohol damage the lining of your mouth, making it easier for abnormal cells to grow. Together, they’re behind about 75% of oral cancers. It's a real thing, people.

What to watch for:
👀 A sore or patch that doesn’t heal
👀 Red or white spots in your mouth
👀 Persistent hoarseness or a lump in the throat

Good habits that protect you:
✅ Quit smoking or chewing to***co. Your body starts healing within days.
✅ Limit alcohol intake. The less irritation, the lower your risk. With the holidays coming up, be aware of your added intake.
✅ Keep up with regular dental exams. Oral cancer screenings are part of our regular exam services with Dr. Anthony and Dr. Harris. Early detection can mean a 90% survival rate.

We treat the whole person here at our office. Not just your teeth.

Your TMJ is the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull. When it’s working right, you don’t even notice it—but when it’s not, you definitely do. It can ache, click, lock up, or make even a simple bite of food feel like work.

If you can’t open your mouth comfortably, you can’t eat, laugh, or enjoy life the way you should.

Signs something’s off might include:
• Jaw pain, tension, or soreness around the ears
• Clicking, popping, or grinding when you open or close your mouth
• Headaches or neck stiffness that keep coming back
• A bite that suddenly feels uneven
• Trouble opening your mouth fully

It’s a joint, just like your knees or shoulders—and it can get out of balance too.

Dr. Anthony and Dr. Harris can help pinpoint what’s causing the strain, whether it’s clenching, grinding, or a bite that needs a small adjustment.

If any of this sounds familiar, schedule an appointment and let’s get to the root of it before it gets worse.

HPV = Human Papillomavirus.
For women, it can cause cervical cancer.
For men, it can cause mouth and throat cancer.

Here’s the deal, guys: If you’re a man over age 40, s*xually active (or have had multiple partners), and you never got the HPV vaccine, this information is for you.

👉 HPV spreads through s*xual contact (including oral s*x).
👉 HPV spreads through s*xual contact (including oral s*x).
👉 The HPV vaccine came out after your teen years which means your generation missed the window for added protection.
👉 There’s no test for men and most never know they carry it so it's important to be aware of the signs and communicate with your partner on the issue.

Why it matters:
👉 HPV is now the #1 cause of mouth and throat cancers in men.
👉 80 % of HPV-related oral cancers occur in men.
👉 Rates are rising fastest in men over 45.

What to watch for:
👉 A sore that won’t heal
👉 A lump in your neck or throat
👉 Trouble swallowing or a hoarse voice that lingers

We realize that fellas in this age group are less likely to see the doctor or set up routine exams, but this is not one to skip. Early detection saves lives and allows for more treatment options.

The good news!! Dr. Anthony and Dr. Harris check for oral cancer during every dental exam. It's quick, painless and part of our whole-person care.

If you haven’t met Yvonne… you are missing out. We suggest you book a dental appointment for your dental health but maybe you should just visit us so you can meet Yvonne. 😆 She’s a gem!

And guess what?!!!!
It’s her birthday this week. 🙌🏽🎈💜

She’s the sparkle in our day, the laugh you hear down the hall, and the reason your teeth look good. ✨

Her smile could power the city, and her jokes should come with a warning label: may cause uncontrollable laughter. 🤭

If you’re lucky enough to see her at the office, you’ll leave with great teeth AND sore cheeks from smiling.

Help us celebrate Yvonne and another trip around the sun. Happy birthday, lady! What would we do without you?! 😱

🤢The Halloween Hangover is real.🤢

Message to the parents: 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

Before the candy crush begins post-holiday, hunt down the cavity-makin villains. 👉🏽 Quietly make those disappear. You’ll save smiles and your wallet. Believe us. We see it after Halloween each year. 😬

🍬 Sour candies = acid + sugar = enamel attack.
🍭 Jawbreakers = marathon sugar time + cracked teeth.
🍫 Taffy & gummies = clingy sugar film that won’t quit.

There’s a reason November 1 is National Brush Your Teeth day. 🍭 🤷🏻‍♀️🫣

As we close out October, we wanted to remind you that it’s also breast cancer awareness month. Get your annual mammogram and encourage your loved ones to do the same.

🎀

if you’re going through breast cancer treatment, here are a few ways to protect your smile during your care:

🩷 Dry mouth is common. Chemo and radiation can reduce saliva flow, so sip water often and keep sugar-free gum or lozenges handy.

🪥 Stay gentle but consistent. Brush twice a day with a soft-bristle toothbrush and mild toothpaste to avoid irritation.

🧴 Skip alcohol-based mouthwash. It can worsen dryness and sensitivity; opt for an alcohol-free rinse instead.

🍲 Watch your diet. Choose soft, non-acidic foods and limit sugar to help prevent cavities and those tender mouth sores.

👩‍⚕️ See your dentist regularly. Let us know about your treatment so we can help protect your oral health every step of the way. Your oral health goes hand-in-hand with the rest of your health.
