🌟 $7,100 RAISED FOR CANCER RESEARCH! 🌟

That's right—between this year and last year, Kalkaska High School Fall Sports teams and THIS AMAZING COMMUNITY have come together to raise $7,100 for Cancer Research at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center! 💗

From the pink gear on the court to the sea of pink in the stands, YOU showed up! Every donation, every cheer, every ounce of support made a real difference in the fight against cancer.

Expanded Service!

We’re thrilled to announce that, beginning January 2026, Dr. Milliken, MD, our talented and compassionate Gastroenterologist, will be making Kalkaska Memorial Health Center his full-time home!

Dr. Milliken will be offering specialized Gastroenterology services Monday through Thursday, helping position KMHC as a regional GI specialty center. His expertise and dedication will be a huge asset to our community!

While Dr. Milliken is no stranger to KMHC—having worked closely with our team for many years—he’s now committing to providing exceptional care to our patients full-time. His deep connection to our area and his passion for improving health make him the perfect fit for this exciting new chapter.

We are so fortunate to have Dr. Milliken on board, and we know you’ll love working with him as much as we do!

Happy Halloween from KMHC Assisted Living and Long-term Care!

Our residents and staff wanted to be extra “spooktacular” this year and had a blast getting into the Halloween spirit.
Our residents would love to show off their homes and see all the adorable costumes and smiles this evening-and of course enjoy passing out Halloween treats!
Please come see us around 5:30pm at Assisted Living and then take a short walk next door to Long-term Care!

💚🤍 Spartan Visit at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center! 🤍💚

This past Sunday, October 19th, we were honored to welcome Michigan State University faculty, administrators, and President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D., to Kalkaska Memorial Health Center as part of their 2025 MSU Bus Tour!

The tour is a unique initiative designed to build community connections and strengthen the university’s commitment to education, research, outreach, and extension throughout Northern Michigan.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share the work being done at KMHC and to explore how institutions like MSU and rural health systems can partner to support thriving, healthy communities.

We’re grateful for MSU’s continued efforts to engage with local communities and are proud to have been a part of this meaningful journey.

Kalkaska Medical Associates is proud to announce that Neurology services are coming soon! Beginning December 2025, we will welcome Dr. Amanda Porter, who will begin accepting patients as part of this much-needed expansion of care.

Dr. Porter brings expertise and dedication to a field that is essential to so many in our community. We're thrilled to offer this new specialty close to home and to continue improving access to comprehensive care for our patients.
