Parking Update!

We’ve begun the early stages of developing our new strategic plan, and there is a lot to be excited and proud of. As part of the process, we’ve hosted several open forums for employees and community members to share feedback. One theme came through loud and clear – increasing parking is a top priority.

The good news: we’re taking immediate action! More than 100 additional parking spaces are being created. You may have noticed work starting in the past few days – two lots are being cleared and prepped for employee parking. These new lots will include proper drainage and lighting, with employee safety in mind. We are hopeful that these lots will be coming along for use as soon as possible. Stay Tuned!

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center is pleased to share that we are implementing a new CT Scanner as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing diagnostic capabilities and improving patient care. This upgrade represents a significant investment in advanced imaging technology, ensuring faster, more accurate results for our patients and providers. This new CT scanner will also allow our radiology team to implement scans not currently offered, continuing our commitment to keep care for or community local.

Key Highlights:
• Project Timeline: We are anticipating a four (4) week project starting 11.23.25 and commencing 12.24.25.

• Temporary Solution: During installation, we will utilize a mobile CT coach to maintain uninterrupted imaging services for our patients. This ensures continuity of care and minimizes scheduling disruptions. The mobile CT will be parked outside of the current Emergency Department.

Unfortunately, this location may impact parking and wayfinding upon your arrival to campus.

This upgrade is a major step forward in supporting our mission to “Improve the health and quality of life for those we serve”. Thank you for your continued dedication and adaptability as we integrate this new technology.

If you have any questions, feel free to call 231-258-3620.
