Looking for an activity that will keep little ones (and big ones, let’s be honest) busy? Try making your own paint using flour, water and food coloring. Or, just pull out the tried-and-true crayons for these cut turkeys.

The weather’s turned a bit chilly and you may be spending more time inside. Grab everyone and make homemade fruit-filled pastries. We did blueberry (because 11 oz. packages are on sale this week 2 for $5) but you can do this with any fruit you’d like.

It’s so simple!

1: Roll out crescent dough and allow to warm to room temperature. About 10-15 minutes. Take your fruit of choice and create small piles.

2: Place a second sheet of crescent dough on top. Using a pizza cutter (if you don’t have one, a knife works too) trim the outer edges and then cut between the piles of fruit, creating your individual pastries. Using a fork, crimp the edges of each pastry to make sure none of that delicious fruit escapes!

3: Brush with egg wash and bake according to crescent dough directions.
