A few days ago, we had the tornado and hailstorm come through our area. One of my clients was home alone and really scared. She called me and told me she didn’t have anyone else to call.

I stayed on the phone with her from about 11:00 pm to 11:30 pm until she started to calm down and feel a little safer. We talked through it together, and I helped her follow a few local news stations on her phone so she could stay updated on what was happening.

I share this to say, if you have older family members or even a neighbor who may be alone during storms like this, please take a moment to check on them. Sometimes people just need someone to talk to, so they don’t feel like they’re facing things alone. If you know a senior who may need a little extra support at home, please don’t hesitate to reach out. No one should feel alone during moments like that.

A quick call can make a big difference.
