This month, we commemorate BINGO's birthday, with its roots dating back to December in the early 1920s. Over time, the game has evolved into multiple forms, each featuring its unique flair. As the story goes, a gentleman playing BEANO was overcome with excitement, shouting 'BINGO' and inadvertently naming the game. Our residents have encouraged staff to participate in today's festivities, creating a lively atmosphere. Feel free to explore BINGO's history, but kindly refrain from shouting 'BINGO' to avoid any potential letdown.

Our November celebrations concluded with Native American Heritage Day, a time specifically set aside to commemorate the history, culture, and contributions of Native Americans.

The aspect of cultural history that captivated them the most was The Talking Stick. Following the storytelling session, they displayed eagerness to craft a talking stick for use in our monthly Resident Council.

We appreciate the invaluable contributions of Native Americans in preserving history and sharing their heritage with us.

The phrase "Tie one On" is a real hoot, but it's actually highlighting a super sweet and giving activity.

Every Wednesday before Thanksgiving, people celebrate by rocking an apron, which symbolizes warmth, hospitality, and a long history of caregiving. And let's be real, aprons aren't just for cooking - they're also for wiping away tears and showing some serious compassion.

Our residents designed their own aprons to wear while they're serving others and showing off their talents. So, who's ready to "Tie One On" and serve others with a big ol' heart?

We would like to express our warmest wishes to those born in November. This birthday celebration was observed with a pie and mocktails reception. Each month, our community hosts a birthday celebration, where our residents, including those with upcoming birthdays, decide on a delightful dessert to mark the occasion. The celebration typically features dessert, sometimes birthday cake, music, and merriment, creating a lively atmosphere.

It's a Saturday afternoon and our residents are assisting with the setup of The Goving Tree. As we gather to sing Christmas carols, we are unexpectedly accompanied by the sound of singing in the corridors. Those outside the Living Room, who were chatting and moving, have halted to join in with Silent Night. The moment is one to cherish.

Today we honored the sacrifices of three of our USA Veteran residents with a special ceremony, presenting them with a United States Flag with stand and a commemorative card. Each person standing behind our Veteran represented a family member or friend who served our great country. The ceremony concluded with a traditional American dessert, apple pie. Happy Veterans Day!
