An incredibly miraculous and FAST labor was attended skillfully and safely by one our awesome Midwife Assistants Marcia White Jankee and the always fantastic Melanie Davis Boling CNM! Never a dull moment in the birth world, especially home birth!

But we train continuously, study, and prepare for the unexpected, so that when surprises come, we keep a level head, thanks to the power of the Holy Spirit!

Ever proud and grateful for such gifted and talented New Eden team members!

Congratulations to this mama and family for their supernatural birth blessed by the loving arms of God!

When you've bonded with a family and feel like you're really become family, it's hard to transition out of the 6 week postpartum visit with a warm hug and bittersweet feelings of joy, gratitude, and some sadness.

I'm so proud of this beautiful and strong mama for overcoming her fears to usher her new baby in with courage and victory! With all of the horrible things happening all around the country to Black women in hospital systems, we rejoice in the safe, loving, peaceful, and intimate home birth for her and her lovely family! Praise the Lord indeed!

Attending birth is one of the most profound spiritual journeys a person can travel through. A wise elder midwife Carol Gautschi often says YHWH God is the true Midwife watching over the birth, guarding it, keeping it. Well, it comes full circle when the midwife on earth prays to Him for wisdom and guidance, and then....

A fellow birth worker friend prays for the midwife as she prays to Him, not doubting the mama's ability to give birth. She's displayed the monumental courage more than once before with her other children. But praying for her to receive Jesus's strength and comfort to carry her through!

I'm so proud of this mama because this birth was so different from her others, but she triumphed and was victorious! Praise the Lord indeed!

Another beautiful, safe, and wonderful home birth for a first time mom in the bag! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

One of Melanie Davis Boling primary midwife assistants is the incredible Katie Rancer who's a powerhouse of knowledge and support with her incredible background as a doula! They're the fantastic duo!

AND we're continuously being blessed to be able to partner with Rachel Pryor who brings such a unique training knowledge to her doula clients with The Body Ready Method!

Thanks be to God for this caring and experienced team to support this first time warrior and dad to welcome their newborn baby boy into the world!

When you get to call the people you work with, not only your colleagues, but your sisters in faith and friends, it makes it all the more special! As always, it's incredible to have Marcia White Jankee as our Midwife Assistant last night by our side. Her depth of knowledge never fails to make every birth experience sweeter!

I wanted to really highlight the monumental event that happened in the wee hours of the morning! My dear friend Sarah Clements .clem09 was finally able to join us for the first time as a birth assistant since starting New Eden! 🎆🎆🎆

She brings such a depth full of experience and knowledge, being a rare unicorn herself, of a Labor & Delivery nurse who felt the calling many years ago to specialize in out of hospital birth! So much so, that before I even started New Eden, I came to her and needed her faith to join with mine to confirm the calling for the dream God gave me!

She's blessed to be a stay at home mom which usually excludes her from being able to spontaneously rush to a birth. BUT she has been SOOOOO instrumental in helping with postpartum visits and procedures. Postpartum visits are her sweet spot and she has a special calling for them. Clients are always so impressed with the care she gives!

It's such a blessing to be able to attend and give the space and support a couple needs to have a redemptive and healing home birth with their second child after a heavily medicalized and stressful hospital experience from the first child!

This was the first time getting to have the awesome Kati McCutheon attend as the midwife assistant, and she shined with her foundation as a doula to give this mom the extra special emotional and physical support she needed to carry her through her birth journey!

Thank you, God, for a beautiful home birth for a first-time mom this morning! Such a classic story of victory and triumph, even when she felt like she couldn't, she DID!

Of course, we Birthworkers know the moms feeling that way is usually the sign that birth is right around the corner, and it was! Praise the Lord she kept pushing through!

It is always a pleasure to have Marcia Jankee by my side to make such a wonderful birth team! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
