Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside of the building. Rules and Regulations

The transitional living program offers up to two years of care, though the duration of stay can range anywhere from 30 to 730 days. Before admission, residents undergo a prescreen to determine eligibility. For those with mental health issues, licensed counselors are available for dual diagnosis support. In addition, they must attend a range of therapy sessions, and educational groups and also are required to obtain employment. Therapy includes weekly individual and group therapy sessions. As clients stay in the home for longer, their required number of meetings and therapy sessions per week goes down while the number of hours of community service per week increases. Aftercare is offered to those that successfully complete the residential program. Independent living with supportive options is included in aftercare. The Hall House provides a safe place for clients to continue their recovery. The Hall House has individual rooms and a kitchen maintained by the clients. Support is provided as needed per a person center program. The permanent housing program is offered to men who have successfully completed transitional living. They can move in as long as they can pay rent and stay sober. There is a strict zero-tolerance policy for substances during either phase of treatment. Anyone who is found relapsing is subject to being evicted from the program. Extras

Case management is offered and may include employment counseling, independent living skills, recreational activities, legal advocacy and referrals, spirituality, financial counseling, family counseling, and referrals to community self-help groups. A mental health coordinator helps connect clients with programs to support their mental health needs during and after treatment. This service is designed to aid in the referral process to build a stronger long-term recovery. In Summary

Overall, the Benilde Hall Program offers supportive transitional and permanent living to those seeking a safe sober environment regardless of income. Through this structured program, clients attend, DBT, Anger Management, nutrition, parenting, life skills, Smart Recovery, 12-step meetings, community service, and therapy and are held to a high level of accountability. This is a great long-term program for men who are serious about their sobriety. Reach Benilde Hall Program by phone at (816) 842-5836.

25 years. Let that sink in. 👏 25 years of impact.

Last week, we celebrated Tony for 25 years as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor! 25 years of showing up, walking alongside others, and doing the kind of work that truly changes lives. 💙

25 years on the frontlines. Here’s what Tony wants you to know 👇

🔹 What is one thing you wish people understood about recovery?
➡️ Addiction is not a disease of weak willpower; it is a holistic condition that impacts one’s body, mind, and soul.

🔹 After 25 years in this field, what is one thing you know for sure about this work?
➡️ People will always seek new chemical ways to experience euphoria, regardless of the cost.

🔹 What have you learned about the strength of the individuals you serve?
➡️ I have learned about their persistence and their refusal to give up hope in conquering their individual demons.

🔹 What does community mean in recovery?
➡️ For individuals grappling with addiction, their loved ones, families, law enforcement officers, and neighbors often share the sentiment, “You don’t understand what I am going through.” In my 25 years as a counselor, I have found it crucial for those dealing with addiction to understand the impact their actions have on their families and others, while families and acquaintances also need to gain insights into addiction and recovery.

🔹 If you could share one message about recovery with the world, what would it be?
➡️ Everyone needs compassion and empathy, rather than self-pity.

🔹 What is one sentence that describes why this work matters?
➡️ When you have a calling to help others facing addiction, it isn’t just work; it’s an opportunity to guide others on their path to recovery.

Tony, your consistency, your perspective, and your commitment matter more than words can capture. 🙌

Kansas City is stronger because of you. 🏙️💙

Benilde Hall had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Downtown KC Annual Luncheon today, and what a powerful reminder of what makes Kansas City so special.

Hosted by the Downtown Council of Kansas City, this annual gathering brings together those who are invested in the continued growth, vibrancy, and future of our downtown core. From celebrating major milestones to recognizing those driving real impact, the energy in the room was undeniable.

This year’s theme, “Welcoming the World, Building on our Legacy,” reflects the momentum KC is building, rooted in connection, collaboration, and a shared vision for what’s next.

Shoutout to Brandon from the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for grabbing a selfie with Erin, our Executive Director. It's always good to see strong partnerships across our city.

And congratulations to all of today’s honorees and supporters who continue to invest in Downtown KC. Your work is shaping a city where people don’t just live and work, but truly belong.

KC continues to show what’s possible when community leads the way. 💙

🇺🇸 Not all support happens under one roof 🇺🇸

Real support happens when Veterans, like Tony, have multiple places where they are seen, multiple people who know their name, and multiple communities invested in their success.

At Benilde Hall, we believe it takes a network. Some of the Veterans in our program also spend time connecting with other Veteran-serving organizations like Veterans Community Project as part of building that support system.

Pictured is Shannon, VCP Case Manager with Tony💛

This is what community looks like. No competition. No spotlight seeking. Just people doing their part to make sure Veterans have every opportunity to succeed. 🇺🇸

This morning, Benilde Hall had the honor of attending First Call's Annual Community Gratitude Breakfast ☕, a powerful reminder that recovery work is never done alone.

It takes all of us… providers, volunteers, community partners, and champions… showing up every day to reduce the impact of addiction and create pathways to recovery.

We are proud to stand alongside organizations doing this life-changing work. Because when organizations support each other, communities get stronger.

Partnership isn’t just collaboration… it’s impact. 🤝
