We celebrated — honoring the vibrant cultures of over 20 countries across Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean.

It was beautiful to see our individuals with developmental disabilities dancing, smiling, and embracing the richness of the culture. Because representation matters — when everyone feels seen, heard, and included, they know they matter.

We enjoyed a taste of Mexico with the amazing Mariachi Estrella KC , delicious food from Wrap it Up , and colorful piñatas!

Hearing mariachi music is powerful — it tells stories of love, resilience, and community, reminding us that culture isn’t just celebrated, it’s felt.

A joyful reflection of our mission to Grow. Learn. Live.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week.
It’s a time to remind ourselves that mental health is health—and caring for our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies. Families know the impact mental health has on life: It affects relationships, educational performance, routines, and confidence.

At BHA, we encourage families to create supportive environments where their individuals feel safe to talk about their feelings, where routines include self-care, and where stigma is replaced by compassion. Together, we can model that seeking help is a sign of strength.
