Dr. Joseph R. Barnthouse, MD Dr. Joseph Barnthouse is a Board Certiifed Plastic Surgeon and has been in private practice in the Kansas City area for 20 years.

More than any other medical specialty, plastic surgery truly requires a blending of the art and science of medicine. Here, the word plastic is from the Greek plastikos, meaning "to mold" or "to give form." By reconstructing or recreating physical appearance, we can provide an enhanced sense of beauty and a new self-confidence in the lives of our patients. Our patients are always our first priority. We recognize that each patient has very particular, individual needs and expectations, and we will take all the time necessary to answer every question and explain each procedure and service in great detail.
