🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes on Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our country inspire us all. Thank you for defending our freedom and for your unwavering commitment to keeping us safe.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on their sacrifices and support our veterans in any way we can. Whether it’s a simple thank you, volunteering, or advocating for their needs, every act of kindness counts.

To all veterans—thank you for your service! ❤️

🧠💜 November is National Alzheimer’s Month! 💜🧠

This month, we unite to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on millions of lives. It’s essential to recognize the warning signs early so that those affected can receive the support they need.

Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s:

1. Memory Loss - Forgetting recently learned information or important dates.

2. Difficulty Planning or Solving Problems - Trouble with familiar tasks or following a recipe.

3. Confusion with Time or Place - Losing track of dates, seasons, or the passage of time.

4. Challenges in Understanding Visual Images - Difficulty reading, judging distance, or determining color.

5. New Problems with Words - Struggling to follow or join a conversation.

6. Misplacing Items - Putting things in unusual places and losing the ability to retrace steps.

7. Withdrawal from Work or Social Activities - Avoiding hobbies and social engagements.

Importance of Early Detection:

Early detection of Alzheimer’s can lead to better management of the disease. It allows individuals and families to:

• Plan for the Future: Make informed decisions about care and finances.

• Access Treatment Options: Early intervention can slow progression and improve quality of life.

• Increase Support: Connect with resources and support networks.

Did You Know?

• Over 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease.

• It is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.

• Every 65 seconds, someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer’s.

Let’s raise our voices, share this information, and support those affected by Alzheimer’s. Together, we can make a difference! 💜

🌟 **Ruth's Inspiring Journey from Rehab to Home!** 🌟

At Rehab of KC South, we’re proud to redefine the value of rehabilitation services, and Ruth's story truly embodies this mission! After a cervical vertebral fracture, she joined us needing skilled care and rehabilitation following her hospital stay.

Upon arrival, Ruth required substantial assistance with daily activities and moderate help for safe transfers. However, through a focused and tailored rehabilitation plan, she made impressive strides in regaining her strength and mobility.

With the unwavering support of our dedicated therapy team, Ruth successfully returned home, ready to continue her recovery with home health services. Her journey beautifully highlights the power of personalized care and determination in achieving a successful recovery and regaining independence after a serious injury.

Congratulations, Ruth! Your resilience inspires us all! 💪❤️
