Congrats on your upcoming new arrival. We at Redwood are here to help you in your journey of parenthood; one way of doing this is by supporting your feeding plans! Every baby is unique, and every feeding journey is distinctively individual. Our lactation team is excited to educate, encourage, empower and provide support to ensure that providing breastmilk to your baby is as successful as possible! At a prenatal lactation appointment, we will go over your feeding goals, educate you on what to expect during the critical first few days after delivery, and provide whatever assistance is needed to make your goals achievable. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kalyn Erickson to our Parkville location! Dr. Erickson is from Colorado Springs, CO and has been in Kansas City since 2022. Her undergraduate degree is in Biology from The University of Sioux Falls. She obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and completed her pediatric training at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Dr. Erickson finds joy in developing trusting relationships with her patients and families. She values educating families and strives to make all visits a positive experience.

Dr. Erickson is married with one child. With her Colorado roots, she loves the outdoors, but also enjoys all things crafting.

Breastfeeding support group is now available at both Redwood locations! Please join Angela, CPNP-PC, IBCLC at the Liberty location on the first and third Thursdays every month from 5:30-7pm OR Ciera RN, CBS at the Parkville location on the second and fourth Thursdays from 12-1:30pm.
