Please join visiting teacher Balarama Chandra for an Ayurvedic Thai massage immersion. Learn and practice a simple routine for at-home applicable touch therapy in this 4-hour intro immersion into flat-mat body work from an Ayurvedic Therapeutic Perspective.
Often called “yoga stretching”, thai massage, marma, or just full body massage, this workshop will support people of all backgrounds, genders and relationship configurations to access confidence and care while touching another human in a deeply healing way.

We’ll Explore:
* A beginner-friendly, full-body sequence drawing from Ayurvedic principles, Thai Yoga bodywork, marma therapy, and mindful touch.
* How to offer and receive grounding, compassionate touch in a way that honors boundaries and consent
* Breath, body mechanics, and awareness practices that help you connect with yourself and another person safely and sustainably.
* Understanding the Ayurvedic concepts of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha through the lens of touch and seasonal balance, with a natural emphasis on calming Vata.
This immersion is fully experiential: participants will both give and receive touch within their comfort levels. We will start with touch immediately and run through a one hour full body sequence of giving and receiving.
Folks arriving alone will be paired up with a partner - please reach out to the studio if you have strong needs or preferences as to your pairing.
