January is Glaucoma Awareness Month - Let’s Talk About It!

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve, which carries visual signals from the eye to the brain. An estimated 3 million people have glaucoma, yet only about half are aware they have it. Because early stages often have no symptoms, glaucoma is known as the “silent thief of sight.”

Without treatment, vision loss is progressive and irreversible, making early screening essential to help preserve sight.

At Moyes Eye Center, LASIK days are some of our favorites, there’s nothing like watching patients experience clearer vision!
