The Research Foundation hosted a ThinkFirst of Greater Kansas City program at Emerson Elementary School! 🧠🦴🚲 Students learned how the brain and spinal cord work—and why protecting them matters every day. They explored injury prevention topics like helmet safety, safe decision-making, and how small choices can make a big difference.

Thank you to Brittany Hatzinger, MSN, RN for sharing her expertise with our Advisory Directors! 🫀🧠 Brittany delivered a clear and practical presentation on heart attack and stroke—covering what they are, how they affect the body, and how to recognize warning signs quickly. Attendees learned about common symptoms and risk factors, what to do if a medical emergency occurs, and why getting to the ER right away can save lives.
