Many thanks to everyone who celebrated with us yesterday as we commemorated “Lawrence A Jones Way “ which is now located at the intersection of Linwood Blvd and Woodland Avenue and north towards 31st street.

Special thanks to Mr Alvin Brooks, Representative Yolanda Young, MO-22, Macedonia Baptist Church, staff, friends and neighbors for being apart of our special celebration.

Today is the day! 🙏🏿🎈🥳

We are looking forward to celebrating with you today at 3 pm. Just to clear up any confusion, the ceremony will be held indoors.

We will have brief remarks by Mr Alvin Brooks, Representative Yolanda Young, MO-22, Macedonia Baptist Church .

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels, a cornerstone of compassionate service in the Kansas City for 75 years is proud to announce that the City of Kansas City will dedicate an honorary street to its revered founders, Lawrence A and Nettie H Jones.

The community is invited to join the Jones family, city council members and local leaders for the official unveiling of “ Lawrence A Jones Way” .

What: Honorary Street Ceremony for Lawrence A & Nettie H. Jones Sr

When: Friday, November 21, 2025 at 3:30 PM

Where: Intersection of Linwood Blvd and Woodland Avenue ( near 1800 E. Linwood )

A reception will follow.

Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels has the pleasure of partnering with Barker Memorial Cathedral of Praise for their Christmas in October Toy Drive 🎄 🎅 .

Please consider joining us by dropping off a toy to the chapel which is Iocated at 1800 E Linwood Blvd KCMO 64109.

If you would like to deliver directly to the church, the church is located at 11401 E 47th St KCMO and will accept toys on Sundays only from 9-12 noon.
