The JayDoc Free Clinic will be hosting our annual sand volleyball tournament on Sunday, November 9th at Centerline Northland Beach Volleyball (4201 NW Cookingham Dr. Kansas City, MO). Check-in starts at 12:00 PM with games beginning promptly at 12:30 PM. Games will be played outdoors. Team captains must register via the signup form, which can be found on the attached flier or using the following link: JayDoc Free Clinic Sand Volleyball Tournament Registration (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/gVuz1x2azD). Only team captains need to complete this form. Cost per team is $120 total. Please have your team captain send a Venmo to -Funds with the registration fee for the entire team. In the subject line of the Venmo, please include the following: “’Team captain’s name’ JayDoc Volleyball 2025”. Payment is due by November 8th at 5:00pm.

Teams must have a minimum of 6 players. Participation is open to all interested players, and enrollment at KUMC is not required to play. All teams will be guaranteed at least 3 matches. There is a max capacity of only 25 total teams, so make sure to register and have your captain send the team’s registration fee ASAP. For food and drink options, the on-site bar and kitchen will be open. This year, there will be a “competitive” bracket and a “fun” bracket so all skill levels are welcome to play!

Rules for gameplay: Each team must have at least 2 females on the court at all times. If a play has three touches, one must be by a female before crossing the net. The ball may bounce off a foot and be live, but there is no kicking allowed. After 3 overhand serves you must switch to one underhand serve. You then start the count over with overhand serves. Players are not allowed to touch the net.

All proceeds raised from this event will be used to help patients at JayDoc. This includes lab testing, medications, imaging, and many other health care needs. The clinic strives to provide exceptional health care to the uninsured and underinsured populations of Kansas City at no cost to the patient. We had a successful fundraising event for JayDoc GAN last night ! We were able to raise more than $1000 that will all go towards providing care for our patients. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Join us for our Drag Bingo fundraiser at Hamburger Mary's on Friday, October 10th from 7 - 8:30 PM. A couple things to note:

Reservations: We recommend that you reserve your table as soon as possible as tables fill up quick: 6:30 is the latest time available to reserve a table before our fundraiser. If reservations are full on their website, they also take walk-ins! If you have already reserved a table but some folks in your party can no longer make it, we suggest editing your reservation accordingly to allow other people to reserve. There is no cover or fee to reserve the table.

Cash only event: $10/10 bingo boards and $5 for one raffle ticket or $10 for 3 raffle tickets, ATM offered at the venue!

Prizes include pottery and glass blowing date nights, happy hour at J. Rieger, and gift cards to local businesses like King G, Arizona Trading Co., and more!

JayDoc Diabetes Night is doing a percentage night fundraiser on Wed. Sept. 24th 4PM-8PM at the 43rd Ave Chipotle (1814 Westport Rd Kansas City, MO, 64111) to help raise funds for running the JayDoc Free Clinic! Funds will help support laboratory testing, diabetes management supplies, etc.!

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, JayDoc Free Clinic will be closed Monday, September 1, 2025. We will resume normal hours and operations on Tuesday, September 2.

Join us on Saturday, September 13th for the JayDoc Memorial 5K in Honor of Caroline Trupp. Caroline was a beloved friend, fellow medical student, and dedicated runner who devoted countless hours to the JayDoc Free Clinic. Driven by her unwavering value that healthcare is a right for everyone in the Kansas City community, we are proud to continue her legacy, and we welcome you to come be a part of this community-driven mission!

Last year, the 5K raised more than $23,000, and your participation and support helps ensure JayDoc has the resources to continue serving our community year-round.

Sign-ups are $35 ($30 for students) and include a T-shirt and race packet. All proceeds go directly to JayDoc Free Clinic!

If your child need to meet health requirements for school, get them a wellness exam on August 23rd from 1-5pm! Email jaydocfreeclinic@kumc.edu for an appointment to limit wait time or walk-in without an appointment.
