It isn't picky eating
It isn't attention seeking
It isn't 'bad parenting'
It isn't a choice

Please be kind this Christmas. If you will be seeing someone who struggles to eat, please be aware of the impact your words may have on them (and their parents/carers)

For someone with ARFID or sensory issues around food, the festive season can be an extremely challenging time.

Even food which would usually be a 'safe' food can be difficult to eat in a busy or unfamiliar environment.

Your kindness and understanding could be the difference between a good or a bad day.

Yes! 💖 If the STRUCTURE is solid enough, "as needed accommodations" become a LOT LESS needed. Creating frameworks that don't require accommodating is an epic win. 💯

Our first book study for 2026 will be Alfie Kohn's Punished by Rewards. It remains one of my favorite books and gets at the heart of the problem with rewards. All studies will be open for registration later this week.
