An invitation to work with me one-on-one

This is an invitation for health-conscious women forty years or older, who want to feel BETTER with age, and believe in their bones that this is possible with the right healthy aging framework. This offer is for women who believe that their best years are yet to come, and are ready to be free from the scales, emotional eating, yo-yo and fad diets, as well as prescription medications for good—women who want to live a relevant, active and vibrant life. I work with you for 6 months on the following FMRM Pillars of Wellness:

Food: Forget conventional dieting—there’s a reason 95% of diets fail. Instead, we focus on the abundance of foods that are both healthy AND delicious, and that will fuel your body for optimal energy. You will learn easy ways to eat real food, and plenty of it—no powders, counting points or pills. The focus is on delicious fiber-rich foods that optimize gut health and overall life force (yes, you get to eat chocolate). Say goodbye to calorie counting and obsessing about protein. We’ll tap into your body’s natural wisdom to overcome binging, slay the sugar dragon and permanently step into new eating habits that will make your body hum.

Mood: Knowing what is going on in between your ears is a crucial step to better health. We’ll hone your awareness of self-talk and thought patterns, so that you make conscious choices around your habits, instead of driving on auto-pilot. Using science-backed practices like mindfulness, neuroplasticity and breathing, we’ll balance your nervous system so your body can heal, release excess weight and chill the heck out.

Rest: Sleep and down time are crucial for mental wellbeing, physical health and maintaining a healthy weight. If waking up in the middle of the night to a racing mind or difficulty falling or staying asleep is your norm, this could be a sign of an imbalanced/overactive nervous system, which can undermine your health and weight loss efforts. We’ll uncover your energy zappers and sleep stealers, and replace them with healthy habits and routines for optimizing rest. We’ll also get real about your device use and its effect on not only your sleep, but your health as well.

Movement: Movement is non-negotiable for a healthy body, however there’s no pounding on the treadmill in this program. Instead, we find enjoyable, natural ways to move, stretch and strengthen your body. You’ll also receive your very own membership in my online yoga community, Yoga with Lisa, which includes live daily classes, as well as other benefits to support you with the consistency and structure you might be missing.

You'll receive handouts, worksheets, delicious and healthy recipes plus your own curated library of fun video lessons uniquely tailored to your goals, including an on-demand library of recorded yoga classes. These resources will help you prepare for our weekly 1:1 meetings, and you’ll reference them for the rest of your life!

The women likely to get the best result from this program have a zest for life that they don’t want to ever lose, they take personal responsibility for their health rather than rely on the genetics excuse, and they believe in the possibility of a life without chronic pain, illness or medications.

The practices I share with you in this program are the same ones I personally use, at age 55, to feel better than I’ve ever felt. After a somewhat traditional start: Actuarial Science degree, corporate executive, church wedding—all which eventually came crumbling down, I signed my new lease on life, including a job I love, an exciting new relationship and fun new hobbies such as hiking and bouldering. It is NEVER too late to feel your best. No matter what you’ve experienced, I’ve likely been there, or have helped someone who has. Sugar addiction? Slayed. Binge eating? No more. Stress and anxiety? Chaos calmed.

Not only is this a BEAUTIFUL spring color - it looks absolutely delish. I'm always on the hunt for clean salad dressings, and sweetened with only 1 tsp of maple syrup, this dressing fits the bill. (I'll simply omit the maple syrup when cleansing - carrots are sweet enough as is, bet you don't even miss it!) Stay tuned, registration for my group spring cleanse opens soon!

This is my go-to for chili. It’s easy, quick and you likely have most of the items already in your house. Inspiration from this recipe comes from a recipe out of Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking , by Dana Shultz. This recipe gets better after a few days in the fridge, and freezes well. I
