In honor of Women's History Month, join us in celebrating Tammy!
Tamera “Tammy” Jones was born on October 31, 1964, and grew up in small towns of central Kansas. She spent much of her childhood in Woodbine and later in Minneapolis during her middle school years. Tammy thrived in close-knit communities with small school classes, where she developed a deep appreciation for small-town life. She loved the outdoors and grew up surrounded by animals, caring for dogs, cats, and even a billy goat. There were early signs of her nurturing and responsible nature.
While attending Minneapolis High School, Tammy formed strong, lasting friendships that reflected her loyalty and warmth. After graduating, she began her career as a grocery clerk and advanced into a pricing coordinator role for multiple grocery store chains. In this position, she managed pricing for thousands of items across several stores and earned frequent recognition for her leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Seventeen years ago, Tammy made the intentional decision to step away from her career to care for her grandchildren, a role she considers the most meaningful of her life. Married for 40 years, she is the mother of four children and a proud grandmother of nine. Family has always been at the center of Tammy’s world, and she is deeply devoted to protecting, supporting, and loving those closest to her.
Tammy takes great pride in raising her children, helping raise her grandchildren, and in the professional accomplishments she achieved through dedication and hard work. She enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, watching classic television shows, traveling, fishing, and creating memories, especially with her grandchildren, who bring her the greatest joy.
