What is Reiki healing, how does it work, and what results can you get? First of all, Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy. We are working with the energy of God/Creator/Source to access higher levels of healing. It is much like focused prayer and is often done by laying hands lightly on the person. A typical Reiki session is one hour long and we are spending that time in focused intention to bring about physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. Many Reiki practitioners also pray before and during a Reiki healing session, asking for God’s help to accomplish the requested healing.
Reiki works by releasing blockages in the aura and in and around the organs that disrupt the flow of chi or energy. After blockages are released, the Reiki practitioner fills in the area with the higher vibrational energy of Reiki.
The results one can receive vary by session and individual. Reiki practitioners can never promise any certain results. The more that the receiver intends to be open to the energy, the more energy will flow. Most people feel deeply relaxed and sleep better after a Reiki session. They also feel more peaceful and happy.
Energy Healing
Reiki is a form of energy healing, which is a method of working with the subtle energy systems to remove blockages and restore balance on all levels. When energy flows freely around the body, it activates the body’s ability to heal itself. Blocked energy often starts in the emotional or mental energy layers through our emotions and thoughts and over time moves into the physical energy body, causing discomfort, pain, and disease. When the blockage is released, people often have pain relief.
Spiritual Healing
Reiki is spiritual healing that utilizes spiritually guided life force energy. This energy is from God, Creator, the Universe. Reiki is done by a “laying on of hands.” The practitioner sets his or her personality and ego aside to be a clear and open channel for only the highest and holiest Reiki energy. She then places her hands on or over the person’s body with the intent of healing.
