Oh Holy Night, this star was brightly shining ✨

We welcomed this sweet Christmas gift early & boy did his mama work hard for him. Such a blessing & incredible honor to be a part of witnessing this beautiful family’s grace, strength & wonderment as this little love was brought earthside.

At Full Circle we honor every family and their wishes for their birth journey. This birth was patience & the true definition of natural, physiologic birth. Every mother that’s re-born alongside their babe I am amazed & am reminded of my purpose of choosing this path to serve women. Just incredible!

Today I had the honor to share about Midwifery & Freestanding BirthCenter model of care to Kasson Mantorville’s Child Development class. To be able to provide education, awareness & knowledge of my passion is such a privilege & I am so grateful for their curiosity, questions & thoughtfulness.

Thank you Kasson-Mantorville Schools for this opportunity & for your leadership in providing classes that spark students interest & curiosity. It was my pleasure providing a tour & educating students of a career/option of care for families 💙

This is community.

Before opening a freestanding BirthCenter in a rural community, I had a mission to bring together all community providers for trainings to assure high quality, safe, and positive outcomes if a maternal/neonatal emergency arises.

The amazing part? There was no hesitation by these outstanding providers to come together with us. We all have the same goals: healthy mom & baby with safe & quality care for them. Every drill, we all learn something new from each other & grow to understand how important all of our roles are…it’s truly an amazing & we look forward to this every quarter.

Live in action, our 4th quarter emergency drill. I am amazed by the care & heart by each and every one of these groups & SO proud to come together with them!

Thank you Kasson Fire and Rescue, Kasson Police Department & Dodge Center Ambulance for your dedication & commitment not only to do this every quarter with us…but each & every day for our community!

What a gorgeous afternoon to jumpstart the Holiday season with our Holiday Appreciation Party for my staff- I am so grateful for all of their hearts that pour into women & families that make Full Circle what it is. These ladies are so special & our community is so lucky to have them, as am I ❤️ We are missing a few, but what a fun day celebrating them & their hearts.

AABC sent a Letter to the Editor in response! Since our letter did not get published, we wanted to share it with you all here.

Dear Editor,

Thank you for highlighting the overreliance on continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and its role in rising Cesarean rates.

There is a solution to this epidemic. Midwifery-led birth centers use intermittent fetal monitoring instead of continuous EFM. They are an evidence-based model that delivers outcomes comparable to those of the top nations globally by offering holistic, family-centered care that protects and empowers patients, thereby enhancing both physical and mental well-being in our community.

Birth centers are fully integrated into the healthcare system and guided by principles of prevention, safety, appropriate medical intervention, and cost-effectiveness. While midwifery care can occur elsewhere, birth centers are unique in offering this dedicated, physiologic model.
Outcomes speak for themselves:
-Cesarean rates under 6%
-NICU admissions less than half the national average
-Low rates of interventions with superior overall outcomes

These results demonstrate the clinical excellence and fiscal prudence of the birth center model, reducing complications and costs while maintaining world-standard safety, lowering maternal mortality risk, and prioritizing maternal autonomy and satisfaction.
