Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) often begins after a vestibular event such as BPPV, vestibular neuritis, or a concussion.
Instead of fully recalibrating, the brain gets โstuckโ in a state of hyper-alert, constantly over-monitoring movement and balance. This creates ongoing sensations of rocking, swaying, or imbalance โ even when youโre standing still.
๐ PPPD is real, recognized, and treatable. Understanding the trigger is the first step to breaking the cycle.
