Common symptoms include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, headaches, and difficulty chewing.

Awareness helps people recognize early signs and seek care from dental or medical professionals before symptoms worsen.

Mouth Cancer Awareness Month

Highlights the importance of early detection and prevention of oral cancer, which can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks, and throat.

Risk factors include to***co use, excessive alcohol consumption, HPV infection, and prolonged sun exposure (for lip cancer).

Regular dental check-ups and self-examinations play a crucial role in catching abnormalities early—when treatment is most effective.
