Traffic Management Positions

Qualifications
* Valid driver’s license
* 18 years of age and older
* Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy / highway construction work zones
* Ability to read and comprehend work orders and traffic control plans
* Ability to lift, push, pull and carry +50lbs
* Ability to work in various weather conditions
* Clean insurable abstract
* Able to pass Drug testing
* Basic literacy, Ability to read, write and record routine data and information
* Ability to travel island wide, and neighbor islands

Benefits
Full time position 40 hrs work week with starting pay $16.00 per hour with the opportunity to move up in pay after 1,000 hours along with the opportunity to receive prevailing wage $65.06 per hour, and state wage $25.91 per hour after training

Responsibilities
* Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use
* Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment
* Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
* Material handling and storage and shop work as assigned
* Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (Maintain cleanliness, fluid levels, fuel level and tire pressure)
* Load and unload trucks; follow proper towing of trailer mounted equipment
* Deliver material to jobsites
* Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
* Notify Supervisor of any issues that may occur during work shift
* Required to stand for an extensive period of time (8 hours +)
* Wear Personal Protective Equipment required by federal, state, customer and company standards during work shift
* Ability to communicate with customers clearly and in a professional manner

Job Duties:
1-Setup, breakdown, and maintenance of traffic devices for work zones, and road closures in a safe, and timely manner.
2-Ensure documents are turned in for all job orders and assignments.
3-Identify if any equipment needs to be replaced or refurbished and notifies supervisor immediately.
4-Properly towing, and unloading of trailer mounted equipment.
5-Able to stand for extended periods in extreme weather conditions (+8hrs).
6-Wear Personal Protective Equipment by federal, state, customer, and company policy standards, during work shift.
7-Ability to communicate with supervisors, teammates, and customers clearly and in a professional manner.

Requirements:
1-Valid Hawaii Drivers license.
2-High School diploma or equivalent.
3-Carry, and pull up to 50lbs, climb, and crouch down.
4-Good in reading and math skills
5-Pass physical and federal background check.
6-Must be able to pass drug test.
7-Required to work flexible hours: Evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, etc.
