For professional and confidential substance abuse and psychological treatment, turn to the Big Island Substance Abuse Council. With years of experience, we provide intensive and outpatient treatment, therapeutic living programs, psychological treatment, and employee and employer assistance programs. We promise to serve all clients and not turn anyone away based on their inability to pay, offer discounted fees/sliding scale based on family size and income for clients who qualify, and not deny services based on a person's race, disability, age, color, religion, gender identity, s*x, s*xual orientation, or national origin. BISAC accepts medical insurance including Medicaid, Medicare, and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) when applicable. We are committed to ensuring affordable access to care for everyone.
