Connected Families Counseling was honored to both sponsor and participate in the recent Poverty Simulation Event in partnership with the Kearney Food Pantry and the Kearney Family Foundation.

This experience gave a small glimpse into the daily realities many families in poverty face. Most were legitimately scrambling to get their tasks done. We overheard many people saying during the simulation how overwhelmed they felt while trying to juggle responsibilities like going to work, paying utilities, buying groceries etc.

We were proud to help sponsor this event and support greater awareness in our community. Thanks also to the other sponsors below who helped make it possible!
