UPDATE: *****Please don't misunderstand my post. I appreciate it, but I'm not looking for suggestions or recommendations on how to get more patients, that's not the point. I'm simply being honest by stating how I feel and what the current climate is. Since I posted this, I've been told by MANY that they are experiencing the same thing, so it's just not me, I was just the one brave enough to say it. We depend on our patients, just as much as you depend on us.*****
This is going to be a long post so I’ll just apologize ahead of time. I’m gonna come right out and say it…Where have all of my patients gone?
In the past few years, and especially the last 4-5 months I’ve seen such a drop in patient appointments, that it’s actually starting to worry me. Many times someone will say they want to reschedule, but then it doesn’t actually happen, or they forget to schedule and then I never see them again. I didn’t become a chiropractor to be a sales person. I give recommendations but I’m not a sales person. I’m not going to hound you or schedule you out for a year. That’s just not me. I can’t schedule myself out past two weeks, let alone something for a whole year. I also hate calling and/or texting people to see why they haven’t been in. It seriously gives me anxiety, or I'll be honest, I just forget because I'm human. I would love to be here more days, but I have children who are too small to be left alone during the summertime, plus it's hard to justify coming in more when I'm not currently busy as I have been previously.
Not going to lie, being a business owner is HARD, and so is being a parent while being a business owner. There’s never enough time in the day to get everything done. My husband is out of town for up to 3 weeks at a time right now, so I’m single parenting while trying to run a business. It’s a lot, but I also feel like being transparent with what is going on is one of the reason’s I have been successful in previous years.
