Despite all the stress and illnesses of the past couple weeks, and ALL the stress, heartaches (and breaks), injuries and illnesses throughout my whole life...I am feeling infinitely blessed to be living out my calling. Thank you, God, for all the provisions, guidance, and love you have sent to make it possible for me to live out my callings...as a mom, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a friend AND a therapist. There is no greater joy than to walk in the truth of the Lord and to be who HE has called me to be. I LOVE my job(s), the people he has entrusted me with and the people who trust me enough to allow me access to their most private thoughts and struggles.

I was still a little sleepy so my smile doesn't do justice to how incredibly happy I was to be in Colorado with my amazing friend, Denise! The second picture is of 2 besties we met. By the laws of science, one of them would not have been there. But by the miracles of God, her own willpower and the prayers of too many to count, they made it to the retreat! I hope I grow up to be just like them! What a God-filled, Beautiful weekend!

Anyone that knows me well knows that I feel a special connection to Holy Spirit. Even with this special connection, Holy Spirit never ceases to amazing me! Holy Spirit has shown up for me "extra" in the last 24 hours, and I'd like to share with you all...
Yesterday my aunt (married to my dad's brother) chose to leave this fallen world to be with our Heavenly Father...to go where there is no cancer, no pain, no sorrow or tears.
I didn't realize or have words for it until recently, but this aunt...my Aunt Ronda is who showed me how to be an aunt. She was fun- loving, cheerful and sweet. She played games and sang songs with us. I will always remember the day she taught us the Baby Bumblebee song...do you know it...?

Now for Holy Spirit...last night (6ish hours after I learned of my aunt's) I was at Bella's band concert. One of the songs the music director had selected for the band to present was called "Bees," a fun song that included...yep...the melody of Baby Bumblebee! 🧠💥

THEN...this morning I went to see my counselor. Of course I shared about Ronda's death, my memory of her singing and teaching us kids Baby Bumblebee, and the band playing "Bees" last night. Not only was she amazed by Holy Spirit showing up in this way for me, she said "this can't be coincidence...I HAVE to go grab something." My counselor then went to another room and came back with a tiny box. She handed it to me, saying "I got this for you a while back and was waiting to give it to you!!" Inside was this sweet, little baby bumblebee!!!! 💥🧠💥
THIS cannot be coincidence. This HAS to be Holy Spirit, God's way of showing up for and helping me with my grief, easing my guilt, and reminding me of the powerful and loving influence an aunt can have with her nieces and nephews!
Thank be to God for the blessing of my Aunt Ronda, for her light and love. Thank you Holy Spirt for showing up for me in this difficult situation. Thank you Jesus the promise of eternal life made possible by your sacrifice. Amen!

Hubby asked me to go pick up parts for him. It must have been his lucky day, because I said "yes." (I hate being "that" wife that walks into a parts store and says "my husband said he needs...!") As I'm standing there waiting for my husband to tell the clerk what he needs (the items he promised me were already ordered and paid for 🥴) from my phone, I started to look around. To my pleasant surprise, diversity and inclusion was represented in the form of a female model AND a man of color model on boxes that contained lawn mower filters (I think 🤔🤷‍♀️😁). I don't know how much say the inventory manager at BOP has in the packaging they stock, but I do know that I walked away feeling good about doing business with them...even if it was just a favor for my husband!
P.S. the female model was able to change the her mower's filter without even getting her hands dirty! 🤯😂

Coming in a few weeks...new office, new paint colors!!
For those of you that don't already know, my office mates and I will be moving across the hall into the space recently vacated by Wells Fargo Financial Advisors. It is a bigger space for all of us, and we are very excited!!

I was asked to come up with a family tree for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday.
