Discipline: Creating a Culture of Connection

How can we reframe discipline so that it moves us from conflict toward connection with children? Young children look to the adults in their lives for guidance and a predictable rhythm that supports their growth and well-being. When we shift our mindset from managing behavior to building relationships, discipline becomes an opportunity for children to learn.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and share with others during the live online session, offering a deeper exploration into the question of discipline and practical ways to apply it in work with young children.

Sophia’s Hearth is seeking a part time Director of Teacher Education to lead and continue to grow our highly respected Teacher Education programs. ⭐

This leadership role is central to our mission of nurturing educators who support young children and their families with a deep understanding of early childhood development.

This position requires program administration, as well as teaching and mentoring the enrolled students.

Sophia’s Hearth is a nationally recognized center for Early Childhood Care and Education. We offer innovative teacher education programs with both Birth to Three and Birth to Seven certificates.

Job Requirements

⭐Experience teaching adult learners
⭐Waldorf Early Childhood Education certificate (required)
⭐Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
⭐Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and collegial approach

🪡🧵Earlier this month, we welcomed back some of our certificate students for their Fall session of teacher education at Sophia's Hearth.

The week was filled with many Waldorf Early Childhood teacher essentials like discussions on social emotional development, observation, and how to communicate with parents and families.

Students also enjoyed eurythmy class, biography, handwork, morning movement, and more!
