👋🏻 Meet Justin Lyons, MSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, nurse manager for our Emergency Department!

Lyons has worked in our Emergency Department for about 10 years. Having his fellow colleagues engaged in their work and always looking for ways to improve processes is one of his favorite parts of the job.

"It's [the] staff and their pride of the work they do, the healthcare they provide, the lives they save. The staff here just want to be here. They want to provide care. It is such a great atmosphere to be in all the time."

Congratulations to Meghan Cicchi and Matthew Paille, both registered nurses, who were recently honored for for their service with the Hubbard Nursing Award! 🌟

The annual award recognizes nurses who demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and excellence in their patient care. Twenty-six of our nurses were nominated for this year’s award.

Cicchi works in our Thompson Medical-Surgical Unit and Paille works in our ICU.

Our Bariatric Surgery Program recently received national accreditation! 🌟

Cheshire has been offering bariatric surgery since 2021, serving about 90 patients since its inception. Research shows accredited centers experience lower complications and better outcomes than non-accredited facilities.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. We spoke with Holly Kennedy, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last year, about her health journey.
