PLEASE NOTE: If you have not already purchased a ticket or contacted either Amanda at The Earth Magic Shoppe or myself in the last few days to let us know that you would be paying at the door, we cannot accept those coming last minute today due to needing to have those numbers in advance to ensure having enough class materials for everyone. Class V – Mid-Summer Herbs & Making Herbal Infused Oils

We will discuss mid-summer herbal remedies and what plants are ready to be harvested for use during the height of the growing season. You will learn how to make an herbal infused oil using fresh medicinal herbs. We will utilize a warming method to make this infused oil. We will discuss additional methods for making oil-based remedies. You will bring home some of the remedies we make during class, including a bottle of oil.

There are a lot of questions this time of year about ticks, how to avoid getting them on you, how to safely remove them, what to do with them once they have been removed, and how to test the tick and yourself to determine if you may have contracted one of the many horrible infections they can carry.

Just this week alone I have pulled 3 ticks off of myself and sent them off for testing. It was a good reminder to use my essential oil blends regularly to repel them and to let you know that I have had a Lyme Resources page on my website since 2016, when I contracted Lyme and 3 coinfections myself.

On this page you can find answers to all of the questions above and many more. The next class in the Seed to Salve series is Saturday June 28th from 10am - 1pm! Do you need to have signed up for the entire series to take one of the classes? Nope! Join us!

Class IV – Early Summer Herbs & Glycerin-Based Extractions

We will discuss early summer herbal remedies, and what plants are ready to be harvested for use during this time of the growing season. Then we will revisit Plant Spirit Communication before venturing out into the garden to identify and harvest some of these herbs. We will make a glycerin-based extraction from some of the plants we harvest. You will leave with a jar of the remedy we make.
