🙏 Monadnock Family Services extends our heartfelt support and solidarity to the Greater Nashua Mental Health Center community in the wake of yesterday’s fire. We are deeply saddened by this loss and by the disruption it has caused to staff, clients, and families who rely on GNMH’s vital services.
Mental health centers are more than buildings. They are places of safety, healing, and connection. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, especially the dedicated professionals who continue to show up for their community during such a difficult time.
We stand with Greater Nashua Mental Health Center and the broader behavioral health community, and we are holding space for strength, recovery, and resilience in the days ahead.đź’™

❄️ On January 15, Monadnock Family Services joined 100 + Women Who Care Monadnock to make a meaningful impact for our community. We are incredibly grateful to have our MFS’s Adult Care Center in Jaffrey, NH, selected as the recipient of 100+ Women Who Care’s fundraising efforts.👏Funds raised will help complete the purchase of a new bus for our Adult Care Center, an essential vehicle that transports clients safely between their homes and our program. Partnerships like this ensure vital mental health and supportive services remain accessible, strengthening care, connection, and wellbeing across the Monadnock region.
Thank you as well to all who made the day so memorable!

✨Success Spotlight: Amanda’s Path to Purpose and Positivity💫
After years of workplace uncertainty and more than 20 jobs, Amanda never stopped striving for stability. With support from Monadnock Family Services’ Supported Employment program, she set a clear goal: part-time work, lasting satisfaction, and long-term success.
Working alongside her Supported Employment Specialist, Amanda built confidence, coping skills, and self-awareness. Today, she’s thriving at Market Basket, celebrating 9 years as a valued team member, with a decade milestone ahead. 🎉
“It (work) gives my life purpose. Work isn’t work for me- it’s play,” Amanda shared. Through perseverance, positivity, and partnership, her journey proves that persistence pays off.

We’re proud to spotlight the Board of Directors of the NH Community Behavioral Health Association — dedicated leaders representing the ten community mental health centers serving Granite Staters statewide. 💙

We’re especially proud that this group includes our own Chief Medical Officer & Interim Chief Executive Officer, Melinda Asbury, MD, PhD, whose leadership and commitment continue to strengthen community-based behavioral health care across New Hampshire.

Together, this board is advancing access to high-quality care, advocating for sustainable systems, and working to reduce stigma for individuals and families across the state.

Each year, our InShape team brings clients and staff together for a simple but meaningful Thanksgiving meal — a chance to connect, share food, and remind one another that community matters.

For many who joined us, this gathering wouldn’t have been possible without the care, creativity, and behind-the-scenes effort of staff who went the extra mile (and then some). From transportation to home-cooked favorites, it was a day filled with kindness, laughter, and full plates.

It’s not about the menu — it’s about belonging. And we’re incredibly thankful for a team that shows up with heart, even as costs rise and challenges grow. ❤️

Mental health needs are rising in our region — and MFS is here to meet the moment. 💛
Thank you to for shining a light on this critical work.

A huge thank you to Jay Kahn for joining us at our Rural Resilience event and for his long-time support of MFS, and to Governor Kelly Ayotte for her enduring commitment to rural community mental health.

✨ Rural Resilience in Action ✨

Last week at Stonewall Farm, on a very freezing December evening, our community showed up BIG to celebrate the mental health changemakers of rural NH. ❄️❤️

From Governor Kelly Ayotte’s remarks to our Change Maker Gallery Walk—where MFS staff highlighted the programs that are moving mountains every single day—the night was all about lifting up the people who make hope possible.

We celebrated resilience.
We celebrated connection.
We celebrated the quiet, powerful work happening across the Monadnock Region to support mental health, one person and one family at a time.

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold, filled the room with warmth, and helped honor our incredible team and partners. Rural communities are strong—and together, we’re unstoppable. 💙 Thank you again to our event sponsors and &S Careers.

MFS’s dates kick off tomorrow (11/27) and runs to December 6th! If you’re in the Keene area, check out on Emerald Street and while you support Monadnock Family Services, the largest community mental health organization in New Hampshire.

Charitable gaming is a huge asset to nonprofits in New Hampshire. Every day a casino is open, it must be partnered with at least two charitable organizations in order to operate. That partnership generates thousands of dollars in revenue, helping nonprofits fulfill their missions and provide critical services in our communities.
