New Teacher in the New Year!
Welcome to our newest teacher to Pinnacle, Summer Lippe! We are thrilled she will join us to help sub and maybe take on a class in the future!
Look for her on Wednesday morning this week (Jan 7th) and in February!
A little bit about her: Originally from Keene Valley, NY, I have always had a lifelong love for movement—especially outdoors. I grew up immersed in active pursuits like skiing, cycling, hiking, and climbing. No matter where my adventures took me, yoga was the one practice I always came back to. My first experience with yoga was in middle school, when a local teacher led a class during gym, and that early introduction stuck with me as I continued to explore yoga throughout the years.
That passion for movement led me to pursue a career in Adventure Education. I worked as a summer camp counselor leading hikes and later earned my B.S. in Adventure Education from Green Mountain College in Vermont. After college, I worked as a rock climbing guide across Maine, New Hampshire, Utah, Wyoming, and New York before transitioning indoors to manage a backcountry ski shop in Vermont. Like so many others, COVID became a turning point. I returned home to Keene Valley to take over my family business, a shift that challenged me both professionally and mentally. During that time, I leaned deeply back into my yoga practice and felt called to go further, enrolling in a 200-hour yoga teacher training to deepen my understanding and personal practice.
Today, I’m excited to share that practice and guide others on their own journeys—whatever that may look like. For me, movement, breath, strength, and stretch are what keep me grounded, focused, and resilient. Yoga allows me to stay level-headed in my work while keeping my body strong enough to continue doing the activities I love.
