In honor of Women's History Month, we're spotlighting Lane Oxley, a resident of The Arbor at Avamere Court. đ
Lane has a deep passion for serving others, going back to 1989 when she and her husband, David, moved to Keizer. As part of John Knox Presbyterian Church Keizer, they helped start a small food closet that grew from serving three families to now over 200 families a week with the support of over 100 dedicated volunteers. Lane has volunteered in the pantry for years, and even today helps how she can, even tying bags of potatoes with her friends Cynthia and Teressa.
âWe are doing so much good there, and this is the plan that God has for me,â Lane shared.
In addition to her impactful volunteer work, Lane attended The College of Idaho and served as a nurse for over 20 years. Her life is a beautiful example of the power of service and a reminder that creating a sustainable future starts with serving the community around you.
