Drop a 😵‍💫 if you have ever had an itchy scalp even after you’ve washed it and keep reading to find out how you can fix it.
Now, this is my disclaimer - I’m no doctor and what I am about to say does not go for every case. There are medical conditions that make the scalp itchy such as psoriasis. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about if you seem to have a pretty healthy scalp and you’ve washed your hair but your head is still itchy within the next day or so.
😵‍💫 SWITCH YOUR PRODUCT- You may be experiencing an allergic reaction to one or some of the ingredients in your shampoo/conditioner.

😵‍💫 WRONG FOCAL POINT - Take time and pay attention that you are cleansing your scalp and not your hair. Washing your hair is fine, but your scalp is the issue and needs to be addressed.

😵‍💫 PROLONG CLEANSING TIME - If you are one to go a while without washing your hair you may need to double cleanse, and sometimes even triple cleanse. Sometimes one wash just won’t cut it and chances are your scalp and your hair will not be thoroughly purified.

But before we get into that, YES! It’s true! Your hair really is as good as the time you put in it. Just like relationships, or cooking, or really anything out there. Your relationships don’t thrive unless you care and do things that help cultivate them. Your cooking will be bland unless you take the time to use good seasoning and season it well and right. And the list could go on.

Here are a few things you can do to add a little extra TLC to your hair care routine…
🤌🏽✨ TAKE YOUR TIME and BE PATIENT - When we are frustrated with our hair, and rush, and are impatient we will likely damage it with breakage from overheating, over-processing, and/or brushing it wrong.
🤌🏽✨ TREAT YOUR HAIR TO PROFESSIONAL GRADE HAIR PRODUCT - Yes, I get it, it is more expensive. Why get $40 Hair Shampoo when you can get shampoo for $6 shampoo at Walmart? Here’s the thing… It. Makes. A. BIG. Difference. Professional grade products are not only made with higher quality ingredients, they also last much longer, highly concentrated, and don’t leave strange residues on your hair that could lead to other hair and scalp issues. I NEVER believed that professional products made the difference until I bit the bullet and bought some. I will never go back to the cheap stuff. Your hair will love you back and probably behave a little better! 🥰
🤌🏽✨ GET OVER THE FEAR OF LOSING LENGTH - You guys, this one right here. Years without a trim can easily turn in to a multiple inch hair cut. Trimming the hair regularly will help keep your split ends at bay. Trimming your hair regularly will allow your hair to grow healthily. And trimming your hair regularly will help the detangling and styling process go smoother with less breakage and less frustration. Plus a trip to the salon just feels really nice in general!
So Treat your HAIR! It will make a big difference 🥰💕

In my personal opinion pictures never capture the full essence of anything without having to manipulate or retouch 🥴 with the gorgeous copper, I def tried to capture its intensity. I had much better luck outdoors in the sun 🔥🥵

Hate to be the one to bring not so exciting news, but… 🤷🏽‍♀️ It is what it is.
Hear me on this. It’a very simple. If you’ve been following along, you would know that hair grows from the scalp and that the ends of your hair is technically already dead. The reason why we trim our hair and do so as often as we can is so that our ends do not split out of control to the point where the hair is breaking off. When the hair is neglected and the ends are not trimmed off at most every 12 weeks, the hair begins to thin out, split higher, and eventually break causing shorter hair and “slower” growth.
