We’re excited to share an upcoming virtual parent group led by one of our own therapists, Ashley Clark, in collaboration with SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted).

This group is designed for parents and caregivers of twice-exceptional (2e) kids.

What does “twice-exceptional” mean?
2e kids are both gifted and have additional learning differences, such as ADHD, autism, Dyslexia, or mental health concerns. These kids are often bright, creative, and intense—while also needing extra support emotionally, socially, or academically.

If you’re parenting a gifted child who also struggles—and you’ve ever felt confused, overwhelmed, or alone—this group may be a great fit.

Feel free to comment or message us if you have questions—we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.

Such a great night at last month’s parent workshop with Kaitlyn Aiken-Tole!

Kaitlyn shared about understanding children’s behavior through a developmental lens and helped parents make sense of what’s typical, what’s not, and how to respond with confidence and connection. Parents left with practical tools and a better understanding of why their kids do what they do, and what to do next.

We’re so thankful for Kaitlyn and everyone who joined us and made it such a great night of learning and connection.

Play therapy is a powerful way for children to heal, grow, and express themselves through play. 💛

In her latest Reach Counseling blog, child therapist Macy Faust breaks down the four phases of play therapy: trust, exploration, growth, and closure. She also shares what parents can expect during each stage of the journey.

Whether your child is just beginning therapy or nearing the end, understanding these phases can help you feel more connected to their progress.
